Adjustable Snap Hook Strap Assembly
Survival Innovations manufactures the Adjustable Snap Hook Strap Assembly (3561AS651-1) for use by mobile aircrew members. The strap is adjustable from 24 inches to 56 inches, with a D-Ring on one end, a forged Safety Hook on the other, and a standard MS22007 Adjuster Assembly in the middle. A serialized Critical Safety Item, the Adjustable Snap Hook is currently being used with the Aircrew Endurance Vest. It has many other airborne applications.
Fixed Snap Hook Strap Assembly
Survival Innovations designed and manufactures the Fixed Snap Hook Strap Assembly (3561AS650-1) for use by mobile aircrew members. The strap is a pigtail design, 14-1/2 inches in webbing length, with a D-Ring on one end and a forged Safety Hook on the other. It passed a 5,000-pound ANSI Z359.1 load. A serialized Critical Safety Item, the Fixed Snap Hook Strap is currently being used with the Aircrew Endurance Vest. It has many other airborne applications.
Emergency Release Assembly
Survival Innovations is currently producing the patented Emergency Release Assembly (ERA) as part of the Aircrew Safety Shoulder Harness (ASSH) HBU-27/P used in the new Aircrew Endurance Vest. A previous version, the HBU-26/P integrates with the AIRSAVE Vest and Hoisting Harness. The sole source ERA and ASSH contain a large number of Critical and Major Characteristics, which ensure that America’s warfighters have another reliable and quality safety device from Survival Innovations.
CBR-AIRSAVE Pocket Assemblies
The A/P22P-14(V)5 CBR-AIRSAVE Pocket Assemblies include a Pusher Fan Pocket Assembly, a Battery Pocket Assembly, and an Oxygen Regulator Pocket Assembly configured for variable attachment to the MOLLE system of an AIRSAVE Vest. Survival Innovations has manufactured more than one thousand units to protect U.S. Navy aircrew members from chemical-biological attack.
Aircrew Restraint Systems
The latest design for mobile aircrew members, replacing the Gunner’s Belt, the HBU-27/P Restraint Assembly is sewn into the Navy’s new Aircrew Endurance vest. The HBU-27/P is a Critical Safety Item with 113 Critical and Major characteristics and 13 Severity Category 1 components. Survival Innovations designers received the NAWC Patent of the Year Award for the Quick Release used on the HBU-27/P.
Helicopter Seat Cushions
The OH-58D Kiowa Helicopter has been retrofitted with the latest in seat cushions, allowing multiple configurations and inflatable bladders for lumbar and thigh support. A team effort by LME, Survival Innovations, and Dynamic Systems. Survival Innovations has produced more than fifteen hundred seat cushion sets, in addition to spares. The primary point of contact for helicopter cushions is LME, Inc.
Pusher Fan and Battery Pocket Kit
The A/P22P-14(V)1 Pusher Fan and Battery Pocket is a carrier for equipment to protect against chemical-biological warfare. The Receiving Bracket provides a quick release mechanism, while the H-Strap allows the pocket to mount to a MOLLE system, such as the AIRSAVE Vest. Survival Innovations has manufactured more than one thousand units for use by helicopter crewmembers. Our material suffix code system allows easy ordering of units in multiple colors and material characteristics.
Parachute Risers with Four-Line Release
Parachute Risers are part of an ejection seat Parachute Assembly, a Critical Safety Item, with the added complexity of a release system for opening four vents to increase steerability of the canopy. Survival Innovations has produced hundreds of these assemblies.
Chem-Bio Vests and Carriers
The TACAIR CMU-29(V)2 CBR Overvest Assembly positions the CBR Pusher Fan, Battery, Oxygen Regulator, Flashlight, and Shroud Cutter Knife for ease of use. Survival Innovations has manufactured more than one thousand units for operational use. Our material suffix code system allows easy ordering of units in multiple colors and material characteristics.
Modular Ammo Magazine Pockets
Survival Innovations designed and manufactured modular pockets for use by agencies such as the U.S. Border Patrol on MOLLE-style vests. Side release buckles afford rapid access while providing security during active events. The pockets include Ammo Pockets for H&K USP 40 cal and M-4 magazines. (Magazines not included.)
